During the week-long charity event Music for Life from Studio Brussel, Flemish public broadcaster VRT Innovation and service provider Faktion piloted the chatbot technology as part of European innovation project MARCONI. This project aims to bring radio experiences to the next level by enabling fully interactive and personalised radio solutions, integrating broadcast radio with digital and social media.

As part of the MARCONI project, Dutch public broadcaster NPO and service provider Faktion developed a chatbot for the radio station NPO Radio 5. The chatbot enables them to engage listeners with a more personal service and allows more time for radio editors to be creative.

As part of the MARCONI project, Dutch public broadcaster NPO developed a pilot app for iOS where users can create a personalised playlist based on their available time and preferred subjects, such as sports, arts and politics. This pilot focused on the news station NPO Radio 1.
